La Quebrada is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in the western suburbs! Homemade Salsa and Tortillas along with Mariachi set the ambiance; my go to dish is Mar y Tierra.

I was out in aurora the other day and brought family out to this place last weekend based on yelp reviews. We arrive around 8pm and this place was open until 9pm on a Sunday night. Overall, it was an ok experience for us - group of 12. We split up into 2 adjacent tables, so that was fine. To start, the Nachos were really good. All the toppings, but the beans were good. Somehow, the beans on other items didn't match up. I think they ran out... To that point, the Tostada was ok. Flavor was ok. Good shell and all, but it kind of didn't pack the flavor. Lastly, I had an Enchilada with the ranchera sauce. When I had one there, it was ok. When I warmed up one the next day, it was actually much better. I assume, they just didn't bring it out hot. Anyway, overall still good. Service - ok, but not great

Been living out here for over 20 years-driven past this place hundred if not a thousand times--never stopped. And I love Mexican food. It's always packed. I finally made the effort and went there for breakfast-a number of times, now. It's astoundingly good. The chips and warm salsa are terrific, I had Huevos Aporreados, Eggs with strips of steak. Outstanding! The Rice and Beans were delicious. Another time I had the Huevos Quebrada--Eggs with a thin steak on the side. Delicious! I asked for fresh Jalapeños to be added to my eggs, and they were there in force. Fine cinnamon-spiked strong Mexican Coffee to slake my morning thirst. Warm, efficient service, and they habla Inglese perfectly. Can't wait to try the Lunch/Dinner offerings.

I love this place. The food is amazing. Always freshly prepared. The salsa is that unique style from this particular region in Mexico. Served warm and spicy, it never disappoints. The atmosphere is Acapulco vibe with seafood prevalent on the menu. This is my go to restaurant for authentic, delicious food.

Let me start of by saying WOW!!! This place should be 2 floors. The food was to die for. words can't express the flavors and dishes. The service was great. I believe who took care of us was Emelia our server was great took great care of us. She was funny and her energy made us feel warm welcome and pleasant. Once our plates came out oh my god it was heaven. We normally drive to the city for Mexican food cause everything around our Area sucks but this place was worth the drive. The steak was perfect sorry it was F@&kin awesome. So juicy and the handmade Tortillas well that was on point. Alcohol was good too overall the food and service were on point and the salsa and chips are as well. This is one place that a lot of people will regret not eating here faster I know we did. Now it's become a favorite place for us to eat at.fyi prices are decent

Yeah, it's that good. Skirt steak, marinated just right and not overcooked, mole enchilada, great mole and not too salty like many others, tacos el pastor, had a look of being over spiced but wasn't at all. Wife gets those everywhere we go and she liked them as much as anyplace we've been. And we get pretty good Mexican food in Texas.
